Gleamy Guts

Juliette is the artist behind 'Gleamy Guts': creator of cute & creapy art & gifts, manga style! We had already printed her 'Chainsaw' design with much pleasure, when she came to us with 2 new designs for Tees: Manako in fluor pink and Saya in fluor green. Gleamy Guts' designs are technically challenging to screen print, due to the halftones she uses in her design with a lot of detail. Those finer details can difficult to achieve on textile. 

We invited Juliette to our showroom, because we thought it would be good to talk through her designs and discuss her expectations and the challenges we saw in producing them. Also, because we were curious how much leeway she would want to give us, by trusting our expertise and experience in screen printing. Juliette was very happy to come by, even though she lives far from Amsterdam (in Roosendaal). Together we could discuss details and search for the right colors to use: fluor ink doesn't always suit the finer details we'd like to achieve, but in the end we worked out a kind of bandwidth within which we had the freedom to choose the color to use with the best effect: from fluor pink to Rhodamine Red - or something in between.

The end result was great and Juliette was very happy with her new designs. She was so happy, that after these ones, we also screen printed her 4 color 'Rave Fairy' on a Tie Dye T-shirt, which we absolutely loved. With Gleamy Guts we always get to a great result together. We are looking forward to her next design!
